What happens when the beliefs that shaped you no longer feel like home?

You grew up with a strong religious identity and now find yourself questioning things you once considered certain.

Maybe you left your faith and feel relief alongside grief. Maybe you're still part of your religious community but are struggling with parts of it that don't feel right anymore. Maybe you don't even know what you believe—you just know that something has changed.

And it can feel like the hardest part of this change is learning how to trust yourself again.

When you've spent years being taught what to think, feel, believe, or do, it can be difficult to know where your own voice ends and everyone else's expectations begin.

You may find yourself constantly second-guessing your decisions, feeling guilty for setting boundaries, or worrying that you're disappointing God, your family, or the people you love. You may carry shame around your body, sexuality, identity, relationships, or simply having needs of your own.

There can be a lot to grieve.

Religious change is more than changing beliefs.

You may be grieving relationships that changed. A community where you once belonged. Traditions and rituals that once brought comfort. A version of yourself you thought you would become. The certainty you once had.

You can miss parts of your religious experience while also recognizing that other parts were harmful.

You can feel angry and still miss it.

You can feel relieved and still feel heartbroken.

You don't have to choose one emotion or make your experience fit neatly into a story.

You are allowed to be curious!

I won't tell you what to believe, whether you should stay, leave, return, or find a different spiritual path.

I provide a space for you to explore what you actually think, feel, value, and want.

Together, we will work through shame and fear, strengthen your boundaries, reconnect with your intuition, and begin separating your own values from the expectations you've carried from others.

Therapy isn't about finding a new set of answers.

Therapy is about becoming comfortable enough with yourself to ask your own questions.
