Meet Melissa
She/Her
I’m a Clinical Social Worker Intern at Bloom Therapy and Counseling and a student at the University of Utah, currently in my final year of graduate studies. My passion lies in walking alongside individuals as they heal from trauma, including domestic violence and sexual assault. I work with adult individuals, helping them process trauma, rediscover their sense of self, build self-esteem, develop healthy coping skills, and set meaningful boundaries. I believe deeply in the resilience of the human spirit and the ability to reclaim peace and purpose after pain.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, drawing from Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel seen and supported without judgment. I have the ability to love people exactly where they are while also holding hope and belief in their potential for an even better life. I view therapy as a collaborative process—one where we grow and heal together through trust, honesty, and genuine connection.
As your therapist, I will be your cheerleader, your advocate, and your support throughout your healing journey. I offer daytime and evening sessions, accept insurance or cash pay, and am happy to connect for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. You deserve to feel heard, valued, and empowered—and I’m here to help you get there. soon!
